Open Migration: How to Talk About Migrants and Fight Stereotypes with Data
Human Rights [ITA]
JUNE 24, 2016
2 PM - 5 PM
When talking about migrants, asylum seekers or refugees, Italian journalists must follow the Charter of Rome, a deontological protocol signed by Ordine nazionale dei giornalisti, Federazione nazionale della stampa italiana, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Participants will be provided with an in-depth analysis of this code of conduct, and the best practices for dealing with migration topics. Concrete examples include the data-driven project Open Migration.
