The history of the Italian Republic is full of unsolved mysteries that have been covered by State secret, or even by insisted attempts to throw inquiries off the track. In such circumstances, media as well as justice are constantly put to the test, and traditional investigative tools may prove inadequate. Actually, a special approach is needed: the secret-hunter’s method. Participants will discuss this typically Italian phenomenon with two experts. The first one is Maurizio Torrealta, a journalist who investigated the murders of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, the 1993 Mafia bombings, and the assassination of Ilaria Alpi. The second one is Gianfranco Donadio, an ex-anti-Mafia prosecuting magistrate, now an advisor to the Italian Parliament Commission of Inquiry into the assassination of Aldo Moro.
